As the birthday of Our Lord Jesus Christ approaches, the Conventual Franciscan Friars Australia would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy and holy Christmas Season and a blessed 2015.
We hope that this time of Advent has been one of reflection and penance as we anticipate the coming of the Lord. This time is always a busy one filled with preparation, gatherings, meals, exchanging gifts, family and friends; we hope that you will also take time to thank God for humbiling himself, coming among us in the flesh of the Christ Child who, as a man, is to make many sacrifices, suffer and die for our redemption..
The Friars pray that God will shower His graces down upon you, through His Immaculate Mother, and remain with you forever.
As you can see below, our parishes have also been keeping busy decorating the Churches and surrounds for the Christmas celebrations (You may even find a guest appearance from the friary cat in one of them).
